Connecting the Neighborhood

Ballard Yards’ design respects the character and history of its neighborhood by connecting both the commercial “High Street” frontage and the maritime industrial areas behind. This is evident in the building massing and material choices, via a building frontage that pulls in character elements from the commercial brick buildings in the adjacent neighborhood center, and via a building backside that reflects the maritime culture and water it faces.

A Local Icon

Ballard Yards was inspired by historic nostalgia of Pacific Fishermen Shipyard. Anchored by Norwegian roots, the lobby and amenity spaces are infused with handcrafted details and marine-inspired expressions providing a local atmosphere.
